Learning to Care for Yourself While Caring for Others with Dana Walters
/

Today’s episode is a repeat of one of our very first episodes. Dana Walters is a mom, wife, hospice nurse, and daughter who became the primary caregiver to both of her parents before they died. Dana shares her story as a hospice nurse turned caregiver; the emotions, challenges, gifts along the journey, and offers some valuable insight on the importance of taking care of yourself.

As caregives its easy to put ourselves last and to try to take everything on. Dana speaks honesty about learning to ask for help, and discovering what self care looked like in the midst of caring for, and losing her mom and dad.

This is a powerful episode of the love of a daughter that will touch your heart and hopefully provide encouragement and support for others facing this journey.
